AOA Xinetics (AOX), a wholly-owned Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Payload and Ground Systems Division Business Venture, is a leading supplier of complex electro-optic and photonic systems and subsystems that control and manipulate light waves for a variety of applications.  Our talented team of engineers, managers and technologists conceive, design, develop and manufacture high precision products in an environment that requires significant collaboration and teamwork among multiple engineering disciplines. We are seeking a LabVIEW development and test engineer for our East Hartford, CT location.

Overview

A LabVIEW Engineer at AOA is part of an interdisciplinary team of engineers focused on the design of test systems and software for electro-optical and photonics-based hardware and software solutions.   National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand tools will be used to develop software and systems for product development, hardware characterization, and system qualification projects to support our research, development, and engineering efforts.  Hardware and software system development will include control interfaces or drivers for measurement equipment, optical equipment, mechanical assemblies, custom electronics boards, test result SQL databases, and integrated sub-systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical field

  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ work-related experience developing software/hardware solutions using National Instruments LabVIEW

  • Experience with National Instruments hardware products, equipment, and drivers

  • Experience with computer operated test setups and systems

  • Experience working in multi-discipline teams

  • Hands-on approach to problem solving and troubleshooting

  • Good verbal and written communications skills related to technical approaches, work performed, test results, and findings

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License

  • US Citizenship is a bona fide requirement as applicants selected are subject to a government security investigation

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Software, Optical, or Electrical Engineering

  • Familiarity with National Instruments Realtime

  • Experience with SQL Server, or other relational database utility

  • Familiarity with Python programming or scripting

  • Active Top Secret clearance


Salary Range: $92,200 USD - $138,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $114,300 USD - $171,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
