Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a 1st Shift Principal Test Conductor ​ with Global Hawk Flight Test at Edwards AFB, CA.

The primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Contribute to the development of detailed test plans, test schedules, and test procedures and provide support for integration testing.
  • Coordinate test equipment and personnel requirements for safe and efficient execution of tests.
  • Provide test execution support and make real-time decisions regarding safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Participate in post-test data evaluation and discrepancy resolution. 
  • Serve as the subject matter focal point to interface with internal and external organizations to develop test and test data requirements. 
  • Excellent communication skills required, must work well in a team environment with NG, Sub-Contractors and US Government employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience with a STEM degree or 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have an active DoD SECRET clearance.
  • Must be willing to cover shift work as required and travel up to 10% of the time
  • Must have experience with MES, Volare’, writing TWS, interpreting engineering guidance.
  • Must work independently to solve a variety of complex problems. 
  • Must be self-motivated, dependable and work well with limited guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Global Hawk air vehicle
  • Experience with the Vehicle Test Controller (VTC)
  • Experience with Air Force series 781 aircraft forms.
  • Experience with Air Force Tech Orders, TCTOs, and Air Force Instructions.

Salary Range: 92000 - 138000

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
