The Range Hawk Program Flight Test Program is looking for an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) pilot Level 4 for developmental test and production acceptance flights. Remotely pilots vehicle determine compliance with specification and operational suitability during engineering tests and flight test/demonstration support through specifically prescribed tests and maneuvers. Defines plans, organizes and executes complex flight programs and flight test events in accordance with military, FAA and ICAO procedures. Conducts briefings and debriefings, and coordinates with maintenance personnel to analyze and correct vehicle discrepancies. Candidate may conduct demonstration flights with customers, government officials or other personnel to exhibit vehicle performance, flying qualities and system capabilities. Position based at Edwards, AFB, CA requiring occasional travel. Selected candidate must successfully complete RQ-4 UAV training and qualification program and receive Government Flight Representative (GFR) certification as a basis for continued employment.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus 9+ years of related experience.
Position requires experience as a flight operations crew member.
Must be FAA commercial instrument rated pilot (or military equivalent) plus current FAA Class II Medical or better.
Minimum of 500 hours of flight experience as Pilot in Command and able to maintain instrument currency in manned aircraft.
Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current/qualified in Global Hawk highly desirable.
Military flight experience highly desirable.
Flight test experience
Aviation instructor experience also preferred.
