Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking a Material Handler 2 for a rotational OCONUS position based out of Edwards, Ca.

The Successful candidate will load, unload, and convey materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, and performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving. Opens containers using hand tools; counts and weighs materials and records information. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines by hand; loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand. Conveys materials using wheelbarrow, hand truck, forklift, electric dolly, elevator, or other devices; stacks or assembles materials; aids machine operators by lifting heavy objects by hand or by use of power hoist.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education (experience can be used in lieu of education.
  • Candidate must have advanced experience in warehousing, packaging, handling, shipping and receiving and have complete understanding of all logistic elements, supportability, maintainability and logistics support analysis.
  • Experienced with government Bench Stock, Bonded Stock, and Shop Stock requirements.
  • Must be able to operate and maintain standard warehouse equipment/vehicles (Folk lift, warehouse tug, and bobtail).
  • Moderate experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Applicants must meet medical requirements for worldwide travel, which include a physical and must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.

  • Applicants must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on-call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
  • Applicants must be a US citizen and hold a minimum active DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission is a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Extensive knowledge understanding of logistic elements; supportability, inventory management and logistics support.
  • Performs well in small groups with little oversight.
  • Extensive experience with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Salary Range: $38,700 USD - $64,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
