Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Tech Coordinator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in El Segundo, California.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Supports and assists activities within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process.
  • Provides administrative, technical, tactical and execution support in various aspects of the industry standard supply chain business process areas primarily Supply Chain Manufacturing and Supply Chain Logistics, as well as Supply Chain Business Operations.
  • Primarily responsible for the manual movement of shipments through shipping process
  • Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.
  • Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements
  • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications
  • Logs receipt items on system
  • Validates information provided on shipping documentation against shipments provided
  • Works closely with supporting functions, such as Requestors PHS&T, Traffic & Transportation to ensure shipments go out on schedule
  • Monitors priority shipments vis log and assigning shipments to packers to ensure on schedule
  • Frequent email communication with requestors to answer question, request updates on shipments, validating information and status updates
  • Produce weekly & Monthly reports on shipping performance
  • Periodically attend meetings
  • Ensuring labels at on material hazmat cabinet

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of additional education and/or experience in logistics support, shipping/receiving, warehousing and/or inventory control.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.- bend, crawl, stoop, push and lift
  • Knowledge AND experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Must be able to work independently to rigorous deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented but able to understand the big picture.
  • Ability to read and follow policies / procedures
  • Ability to work under a deadline

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience using a forklift/reach lift/pallet jack.
  • Prior experience using SAP/ MES.
  • Hazmat or chemical handling experience.
  • Experience in Aerospace Shipping, Receiving and/or Warehousing

    Salary Range: $42,100 USD - $70,100 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
