Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems sector is seeking an Associate Programmer Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.  This position will be located in El Segundo, CA where technology and teamwork come together.  The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Assurance organization working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.

Builds and codes applications and/or modules using languages such as C#, VB, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and others that address Environmental, Safety, Health and Medical (ESHM) requirements.  Provides patches and upgrades to existing systems. May design graphical user interface (GUI) to meet the specific needs of users. Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. May build add-on modules using application program language. Gathers ESHM user feedback to modify and improve system capabilities as needed. The position is based out of El Segundo, CA.  A senior programmer will be providing guidance and initial training on the current Data Systems. 

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate, plan, and execute ESHM team projects; programming, scripting, debugging, and test code
  • Design client-side and server-side code
  • Develop Software System Architectures
  • QA to understand test strategy, develop test cases, test case automation, and perform regression testing
  • Write Technical Documentation
  • Work and deliver software using an Agile development processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (e.g., Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Understanding of OOP (Object Oriented Programming)
  • Experience programming client and web-based applications
  • Bachelors Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with programming languages such as VB, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, SharePoint
  • Experience working with SQL Server or other relational databases
  • Experience with .NET frameworks
  • Experience with web technologies including HTML, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Experience programming web-based applications and ESHM compliance database systems
  • Experience with Source Control Management tools based on Git
  • Experience working with Environmental Management Information Systems (EMIS) such as chemical tracking, chemical review, industrial hygiene tracking, audit tracking, etc.
  • Understanding how to perform all functions in the software development life cycle (specification, analysis, design, coding, testing, maintenance, support, and documentation)

Salary Range: $61,900 USD - $92,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
