Northrop Grumman's Life Cycle Sustainment Operations group is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to support systems level assembly/ integration for tactical radar systems. Applicant should have the ability to perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.  Tasks include the assembly of antenna systems, modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Must have the ability to work from diagrams and drawings, make initial layouts, and use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.

Must be capable of performing continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test production or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications provided by a Cognizant Engineer.  May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May require field work in adverse conditions for short periods of time.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working in a team environment, can perform tasks in small spaces, and has a high level of attention to detail and quality. The chosen candidate must be able to multi-task and flex between multiple assignments.

The position will be a split shift and require some flexibility/on-call at times. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance
  • High School Diploma, 5 years manufacturing experience
  • Must have Mechanical experience
  • Able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs
  • Able to read schematics and drawings
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email)
  • Hands on knowledge and experience with the use of a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to plan, task, and execute to established schedules

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electro-Mechanical Basic Experience
  • J-STD experience and certification for soldering
  • IPC 620 Cable/Wire Harness Assemblies
  • Experience building test equipment
  • Forklift and Rigging experience
  • Cable management experience

Salary Range: $46,340 USD - $110,885 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
