Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Business Management Analyst reporting to the Finance Manager of the Propulsion Systems & Controls in Elkton, MD

Position Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Analyzes, evaluates, modifies, configures, tests and implements business system tools and processes on complex defense system programs 
  • Provides tool implementation, documentation, training, and configuration support, providing solutions for the business management user community
  • Coordinates system upgrades, enhancements or maintenance with program business teams and enterprise IT support
  • Provides support to a broad set of custom and third-party tools, including Cobra, Empower, OpenPlan, wInsight, SharePoint, Cognos and other business tool applications including VBA applications.
  • Provides centralized support to multiple teams and users to ensure consistent process definition, implementation, output and deliverables through process design, solution analysis and implementation, maintenance, and support.

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Business Management Analyst:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with 6 years of experience; 4 years with a Masters degree; or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid work arrangement, working on-site in Elkton, Maryland as needed to support business initiatives and objectives.

Sr. Principal Business Management Analyst:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with 10 years of experience; 8 years with a Master’s degree; or 14 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid work arrangement, working on-site in Elkton, Maryland as needed to support business initiatives and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Excel skills including experience working with MS Excel Macros
  • Working knowledge of MS Access database / SQL database data acquisition
  • Experience with Deltek suite of tools (CostPoint, Cobra, OpenPlan).
  • Proven ability to analyze processes implement data automations for process optimization.
  • Experience with DOD contracting
  • Experience with revenue and profitability forecasting across multiple project portfolios.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interface with multiple disciplines and varying levels of management
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

Salary Range: $80,100 USD - $120,100 USD
Salary Range 2: $99,200 USD - $148,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
