Northrop Grumman Weapon Systems is currently seeking an Associate Supply Chain Manufacturing Specialist for our Elkton, Maryland location. The Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) facility in Elkton, Maryland began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS&C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems in programs professionally managed for a wide variety of Government and commercial customers.  The facility also serves as the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY, Palm Beach Gardens, FL and San Jose, CA. Position Overview:

• Rotate between the 4 departments within the Supply Chain organization (Program Scheduling, Production Planning and Scheduling, Material Program Management, and Inventory and logistics) to gain knowledge and experience of all processes.
• Develop  from inception, maintain and deliver  a monthly integrated master plan and schedule (IMP/IMS) through completion to meet project IMS objectives
• Integrate  Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), statement of Work (SOW), Teams, Deliverables, and resources into the Master Schedule in an efficient and timely manner
• Support Material Program Manager and Supply Chain in the management of program supplier base through the IMS and provide daily monitoring and status to the PM for critical path tasks daily
• Input EVMS requirements and reports to financial control as required.
• Support the preparation of monthly operational review packages
• Assist with reporting of Division performance for executive management
• Investigate deviations from plan and unusual results
• Participate in, lead, and support schedule reviews and metric reporting as requested by management.

Basic Qualifications: A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be completing or has completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or a technically related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
• Knowledge of scheduling tools, MS Project, Open Plan, Primavera or Other
• High degree of organizational skills utilizing MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Must possess a “can do” attitude, be creative & flexible;
• Ability to communicate with strong verbal and written skills, and to present clear and concise reports, briefings and outlines to team members across 3 locations (Elkton, MD, Ronkonkoma, NY and Palm Beach Gardens, FL) and customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.7/4.0 or higher
• Active Security Clearance
• Understanding of EVM (Earned Value Management) and DoD (Department of Defense) requirements
• Understanding schedule development, critical path and risk analysis
• Experience with Costpoint, Cognos and Sync Manufacturing software
