Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is looking for a Flight Test Instrumentation Engineering Manager 2. The Instrumentation team located in Palmdale, CA.
This position supports the B-21 Raider, the world’s first sixth-generation aircraft. When it comes to delivering America’s resolve, the Raider provides the Air Force with long range, high survivability, and mission payload flexibility. This position will be leading a flight test instrumentation operations section within the classified portfolio of Aeronautics Sector. The position will be responsible for the build-up, integration, checkout, and operations of a large scale flight test instrumentation system.
In addition to managing staff (15+ direct reports) and technical activities, you will be responsible for creating and managing schedules, spend plans, staffing plans, and developing proposals for future work. You will also be preparing presentations/reports and routinely presenting status to senior leadership.
Up to 10% travel.

The candidate needs to be able to support any Shift (4x10 (M-TH, Tu-Fr) or 3x10 Fri-Sun), 1st shift or 2nd shift) based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Science in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of professional/military experience OR a Master's degree and 7 years of professional/military experience.
Must have 5 years of flight test experience or instrumentation/electrical fabrication.
Must have prior management/leadership experience
Must have an active DoD Secret level clearance
Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Solid technical understanding of instrumentation systems and architectures
Ability to interface with all levels of functional and program management
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute technical projects from inception through completion with the ability to manage several tasks/projects simultaneously
Ability to manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of SOW elements
Experience coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, and spend plans.
Risk and opportunity management experience
Customer relationship experience
