Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has leadership openings for Production Test Air Vehicle Manager 2, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position will be located in Palmdale or Edwards, AFB, CA.
This position supports the B-21 Raider, the world’s first sixth-generation aircraft. When it comes to delivering America’s resolve, the Raider provides the Air Force with long range, high survivability, and mission payload flexibility. The candidate must have a significant background in leading people and teams in high-paced demanding technical environment. Must be able to drive team to maintain schedule, cost and program goals. Will manage a diverse team of technicians and engineers.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Must be willing to work any shift depending on business needs.
Provide technical products and planning coordination for the Test IPT as the manager for the system under test.
Fill in as needed as the Cost Account Manager overseeing a substantial operating budget producing budget forecasting and analysis.
Lead point of contact for the test team and will coordinate and oversee all maintenance and test activities for the system under test.
Maintain and specify test article configurations and coordinate all test modifications.
Ensure all test article activity has the required authorization, schedules activities, and assigns priorities.
Coordinate with local and remote test facilities / ranges, other Special Projects IPTs, subcontractors, and government agencies.
Report on article status and provides detailed reports to Senior Management as required.
Position requires domestic travel to various location across the CONUS. Travel periods may be of significant duration. Candidate must be willing to work extended shifts, weekends and holidays as required to meet program schedule and objectives.

The Selected Candidate must be willing to work any shift depending on the business needs: 4x10 schedule (Mon-Thurs) 1st shift; 4x10 (Mon-Thurs) 2nd shift; 3x10 schedule Fri, Sat, Sun) 2nd shift; 3x10 schedule (Fri, Sat, Sun) 1st shift.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor degree of Science in STEM discipline AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering. OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline AND 7 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Must have experience in Systems Test Environment
Must have prior management / leadership experience.
Must have an active In-Scope Secret Clearance (investigation within last 6 years) with ability to obtain special program access.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent communications skills to include ability to author technical reports and correspondence.
Significant experience in the developmental/operational test maintenance environment
Experience briefing managers, senior program leadership and customers.
Previous experience with team engagement and minimum of 7 year's experience in a leadership/management position
