Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is searching for Principal AI Software Engineer specialized in AI/ML to join our Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) Dev Team located in Melbourne, FL and will be primarily based within our office spaces to support program and business needs. Operating on our 9/80 schedule meaning you will get every other Friday off. The position has NO remote or Hybrid work available.
The selected candidates must have the following skills and abilities:
Software and AI/ML Engineer responsible for designing and managing the Cloud infrastructure and designing and developing Software as a Service (SaaS) microservices. Duties include deploying product updates, setting up software factory, virtual machines, containers, and orchestration. The role will have a large impact on team productivity and as such requires an understanding of the software development lifecycle and various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/CD pipelines). Potential opportunities to develop existing baselines to integrate on cloud service provider infrastructure, work with ground system services and IaC/CaC for automation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage the Azure cloud infrastructure tools and data.
Manage and improve container orchestration and deployment strategies.
Develop tools to manage continuous integration, software stack support, code quality and coverage.
Ensure and develop tools for monitoring security, privacy, and integrity of data and other resources.
Design new software and implement SW using event driven architecture.
Lead diverse skilled teams using Agile and Atlassian tools.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 5 years’ experience in software engineering OR Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 3 years’ experience in software engineering.
Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain Program Access is required.
Experience developing software with C/C++/Python/Java.
Experience with tools/technologies in a DevOps Environment (e.g. Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab, Confluence, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Chart, Container Orchestration).
Experience with Cloud Infrastructure, Development Pipelines, and Administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within an Agile environment.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proactive and assertive in driving solutions/solving issues
Program Access.
Experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure, Development, and Administration.
Experience with Terraform and Azure Resource Manager.
Experience working with Artifactory or Nexus.
Experience working with Palantir.
Experience working with AI/ML and unmanned air platforms.
