Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector, Payloads and Ground Systems Division in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Staff-level Systems Engineer to lead the Assembly Integration and Test (AI&T) of a Space Radar Payload.
Initial responsibilities include leading a small team of I&T engineers to develop a comprehensive system test flow and detailed test plan to go from the PDR (Preliminary Design Review) phase of the program through launch of a prototype system within the next few years. Other duties include IMS (Integrated Master Schedule) planning and EVMS (Earned Value Management System) reporting; presenting to the customer at major reviews, e.g. CDR (Critical Design Review); and close and continued collaboration with mission partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and other internal engineering disciplines, e.g. Hardware Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, and Test Design Engineering.
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree in STEM with 14 years of relevant experience, or 12 years of relevant experience with MS degree or PhD with 9 years of exp.
Experience as a technical lead and/or IPT Lead (Integrated Product Team Lead)
Experience with I&T (integration and test) of an RF (Radio Frequency) sensor or comms systems
Active TS clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
BS and/or MS degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering with 12 - 14 years of relevant experience
Experience with RADAR I&T, including testing, tuning, calibration of an ESA (Electronically Scanned Array)
Experience with Space Payload or Space Vehicle I&T
Active TS/SCI
