Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr Principal RF Engineer to join our team based at a facility in Aurora, Colorado.
This role provides technical support to the program on a variety of technical tasks.
Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, designing, developing, testing radio frequency (Ranges: X,C,s,Ku,Ka) and/or microwave systems architecture, components, circuits, or products. Including antenna design, both reflector and array systems, frequency synthesizers, transmitters, and receivers.
Basic Qualifications
9 Years with Bachelors - STEM; 7 Years with Masters - STEM; 4 Years with PhD - STEM. (completed STEM degree is required to be considered for this role**)
Must have active/current DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI access to be considered**(US citizenship is required)
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with minimal oversight or direction
Must have knowledge of professional engineering best practices for the full development life cycle, including requirements, architecture, design, integration, test, and operations
Knowledge of linking Budget and Performance to include Gains, Losses
Knowledge of calculations, Equivalent Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP), Power Spectral Density (PSD)/GT, Signal to Noise Ratio EB/No(SNR)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Satellite Dynamics and TT+C Links, SATCOM antenna equipment, manufacturing, troubleshooting, and repairs
Experience working in a military environment, DOD Test Experience, working knowledge of current DoD Space Control systems
Digital Signal Processing + A/D - D/A Conversion
Experience working in a diverse and complex HW and SW integration and deployment environment with an emphasis on configuration management and first time quality
Ability to work independently with multi-disciplined teams within the program
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
