The Payload and Ground Systems Division seeks talented RF Hardware Design engineers with RF experience to join our growing team in Rolling Meadows, IL.
As a RF Hardware Engineer, you will join our diverse team and be responsible for research, requirements analysis, architecture, schematic design, and testing of RF hardware. Experience with space hardware and requirements is a plus. Tasks include.
Create engineering documentation (change notices, parts lists, bills of materials, test reports, test procedures)
Create electrical schematic and board layout support.
Maintaining process and procedures.
Troubleshooting production hardware to determining root cause of failures and identify corrective actions.
Hardware integration and test
Working with suppliers to resolve technical hardware issues.
Creating and analyzing metrics to target cost improvements.
Interface with and present to customers
Basic Qualifications:
Qualifications for a Principal RF Microwave Design Engineer Level:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering or similar engineering discipline with a minimum 5 years of RF experience or master's Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar engineering discipline with a minimum 3 years of design experience.
Qualifications for a Senior RF Microwave Design Engineer Level:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering or similar engineering discipline with a minimum 9 years of RF experience or master's Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar engineering discipline with a minimum 7 years of design experience.
RF/Analog circuit design experience, including schematic capture through test and integration
Hands-on prototyping and debug experience testing complex RF subsystems, such as complex circuit card development involving amplifiers, mixers, control systems, ADCs, DACs, and/or phase lock loops
Demonstrated ability to translate system performance and operational specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications
Familiarity with documentation, revision control and review systems similar to DOORS, ClearCase, and ClearQuest
Proven skills to include: communicating with all levels of an organization internally and externally, adaptable, creative, collaborative and also comfortable working independently and enjoys solving difficult problems
US Citizen and ability to obtain government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Space systems and electronics
Recent circuit card design experience utilizing circuit-related tools including Cadence Concept, Allegro, and/or Mentor Dx Designer, Expedition
Experience with Advanced Design System (ADS) and MatLab modeling tools
Experience with SPICE modeling tools
Current Secret or Top-Secret security clearance
