The Digital Products Department (part of NG Strategic Space Systems) in Manhattan Beach, CA is seeking a talented Engineer Digital 3 - Responsible Design Engineer. This person will be required to develop, test, and integrate complex digital hardware and support test systems for spacecraft flight programs.

As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to leverage your knowledge and expertise to:
Develop Conceptual Designs
Create Circuit Designs and analysis
Develop unit level Architecture, manufacturing, assembly and test
Unit level verification
Coding in VHDL
We also provide opportunities to support other areas of interest within digital engineering as they become available.
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) field, 5+ years of relevant experience in digital engineering or Master’s degree in STEM field with 3+ years of relevant experience in digital engineering
In addition to the expertise listed above, design engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:
Circuit design and analysis
Digital signal processing
Network routing and/or switching applications.
Digital board design, digital board/unit verification
Working in an engineering environment dealing with design, manufacturing, and hardware troubleshooting.
Experience in digital engineering analysis such as Power Distribution, Timing, interface compatibility, signal integrity and derating/stress
Hands on lab experience and hardware troubleshooting
Experience in different stages of design reviews
The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and/or program access
Experience in working in a team environment
Excellent communication and writing skills
STEM Master’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering field.
Hands-on lab experience is highly desired.
Experience with FPGA design
Experience in parts selection and managing parts procurement.
7+ years of design engineering experience listed above in Space Flight hardware or programs.
