Electrical Engineer III is required to provide electrical engineering support for common hardware products at Northrop Grumman Space Systems. Commodities requiring support in the near term include Encryption Modules and C-Band Transponders.
The individual will be responsible for all aspects of product procurement (technical, schedule, cost).
Typical tasks include:
Releasing formal documents with requirements flow down (specifications & statements of work).
Reviewing supplier test data, supporting supplier troubleshooting and failure analysis.
Supporting in-house testing and data review.
Drafting common hardware test pedigrees.
Performing fault tree analysis.
Performing electrical analysis and simulation.
Processing supplier hardware changes through configuration control board.
Witnessing testing and drafting test reports.
Supporting LV Program on hardware implementation providing briefings on component failures to engineering review boards, and acting as the primary point of contact for the component supplier.
Critical skills for success in the position are good communication (verbal & written), mentoring, teamwork, troubleshooting, circuit simulation/analysis, and data reduction (MATLAB or Python).
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors of Science and 5 years Experience or 3 years with a Masters.
