Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector is seeking a Principal mechanical design engineer (Level 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in support of our hardware engineering department. This position will be located in Azusa, CA. This position will be on a hybrid schedule where most of the work will be done on-site, but we can accommodate partial teleworking upon business/program need.
Mechanical design and integration experience with willingness to help with real-time design changes supporting hardware integration. Must have experience with Radio Frequency (RF) or millimeter wave (mmW) products. Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of electromechanical systems. Works on early stages of programs, RFI, Proposals, BOEs, etc. Takes ownership of tasks and follows through with excellent communication and problem solving ability.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have experience with Radio Frequency (RF) or Millimeter Wave (mmW) products.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or STEM field and 5 years of related mechanical engineering experience, OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM field & 3 years of related mechanical engineering experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PTC CREO
- Experience managing suppliers and integrating large assemblies.
- Previous Northrop Grumman experience
- Current & active DoD security clearance
