Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Electromechanical Engineer to join our team supporting a facility in Aurora, Colorado. This position will need to be onsite.
This role applies electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles to components and systems, including assembly, analysis, and documentation of results; construction of developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components; and quality testing. Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems.
Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Lead mechanical engineering design, documentation, and integration efforts of transportable shelters, electronic equipment racks, and antenna systems
Support drawing review and release cycles including changes to hardware baseline documentation while conforming to established configuration management processes
Support technical engineering review boards including (ERB,CCB,MRB,FRBs)
Support on-site deployment and system integration efforts
Coordinate and oversee multi-site engineering and collaboration efforts
Basic Qualifications
14 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor degree in STEM; 12 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters in STEM; 9 Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD in STEM [completed STEM degree is required to be considered for this role]
Must have an Active/Current Top Secret/SCI clearance to be considered** [US Citizenship required]
Knowledge with Teamcenter or similar Product Lifecycle Management tools
Experience with outdoor equipment shelters and enclosures
Experience with performance engineering static and dynamic engineering analysis (Static loads, vibration, shock)
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to large customer community
Ability to solve problems, support troubleshooting efforts, drive tasks to completion
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
Ability to work in a team environment, and lead small projects or teams
Knowledge and experience with CAD software
Able to travel 10%
