Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking Principal / Senior. Principal Electronic Warfare Systems Engineers to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Linthicum/Baltimore, MD campus.
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal / Senior. Principal Electronic Warfare Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Linthicum/Baltimore, MD campus.
As part of Northrop Grumman's Electronic Warfare Systems Engineering organization, the qualified candidate will have the opportunity to develop solutions for our customer’s most difficult technical challenges. This team is responsible for supporting the development of highly adaptive, software defined, hardware enabled systems across a variety of domains. Candidates must be self-motivated systems thinkers that can work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
This position will allow for participation throughout the systems engineering process. Typical Electronic Warfare Systems Engineers work on multiple tasks including, but not limited to:
System concept development
Candidate technology trade studies
Requirements development and derivation
Algorithm development
Performance analysis
Data Analysis
Support of firmware, software and hardware integration and test

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Systems Engineer
Active or ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance prior to starting
Ability to obtain SAP prior to starting
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or other Engineering with 5 years of related experience, 3 years related experience with a Master’s Degree,
Experience with MATLAB or equivalent software tools
Previous experience with radar waveforms, Electronic Support (ES), and/or Electronic Attack (EA)
Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer
Active or ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance prior to starting
Ability to obtain SAP prior to starting
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or other Engineering with 9 years of related experience, 7 years related experience with a Master’s Degree, 5 years with a PhD
Experience with MATLAB or equivalent software tools
Previous experience with radar waveforms, Electronic Support (ES), and/or Electronic Attack (EA)
Preferred Qualifications:
DoD Top Secret Clearance
Experience with digital signal processing

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
