The selected candidate will lead a diverse and talented team of engineers to develop innovative and cost-effective systems that support a broad range of products in our Emerging Capabilities Development Division. Applicants should be able to apply advanced RF technical principles, theories, and concepts while contributing to the development of new RF principles and concepts.
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead an engineering functional group of 10 to 15 engineers including performance management, career development, staffing, and merit planning.
- Provide project and technical oversight for activities performed by the group
- Ensure application of Northrop Grumman design processes and guidelines used in the group
- Collaboration with peer managers to ensure consistency across multiple work groups with ECD
- Execute Technical Leadership Assignment on a specific ECD program based on program needs and specific background. Examples could include:
- Hardware Integrated Product Team Lead
- Subject Matter and/or Design Expert supporting a single program
- Demo or Hardware / Software Integration & Test Lead
- Design Authority or Assistant Design Authority for all program milestone reviews (.i.e PDR, CDR)
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or RF Engineering or equivalent Engineering or Technical degree
- Minimum 7 years of related engineering experience including responsibility as an integrated product team or technical lead
- Experience with RF/Microwave design disciplines including: Antenna Design/Performance Analysis, RF Components & Circuit Card Assembly, RF Requirements Development, EM and related modeling & simulation, RF Sub-System Design and RF Integration and Test of subsystem components
- Understanding of Near Field and Far Field Range Testing
- Experience with Design, Manufacturing and Test Integration process within a prototyping environment
- Must be a US Citizen and possess a Secret Clearence prior to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Electrical or RF Engineering or equivalent Engineering or Technical degree
- Demonstrated success leading teams as technical, integrated product team leader
- Previous Functional Manager or Program Manager Experience
- Cost Account Management Expertise and Proficient in EVMS
- Strong understanding of RF, Digital, and Power Conversion Test Equipment and Measurement Techniques
- Significant Experience with Near Field and Far Field Range Testing
- Demonstrated success in understanding of creating test plans to prove requirements compliance or integrate systems and software with hardware
- Prior Experiences with Active electronically scanned arrays (AESAs) / Digital Receiver/Exciters
- Top Secret Clearance
