Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an exciting career opportunity for an Electronics Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in support of the MQ-4C Triton program within the Test and Evaluation organization. This position will be located at NAS (Naval Air Station) Patuxent River, MD.
The Triton Program is seeking an Electronics Engineer to be our onsite Networks Responsible Engineer (RE). The selected candidate will synthesize Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) 4 networks software installations and integration activities with a US Navy- Northrop Grumman Integrated Test Team (ITT). Key responsibilities include coordinating with Networks and Test Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to develop networks software solutions, ensuring a seamless technical integration effort within a complex multi-domain, encrypted unmanned aerial system (UAS). The winning candidate must show an exceptional track record of working independently on a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity, as assigned. They will be part of an Engineering Reachback team supporting the Triton ITT in preparation and execution of comprehensive system test procedures, ground and flight testing of multiple networking nodes and domains from NAS Patuxent River, MD. This position requires work on second shift.

Basic Qualifications for Electronics Engineer (Level 2):
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 0 years of related engineering experience
- Active DOD SECRET Security Clearance to be considered with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
- Knowledge on network routing & switching systems (e.g. switches, routers)
- Must be willing and able to support 2nd shift ( approx 3pm to 1am)
Basic Qualifications for Principal Electronics Engineer (Level 3):
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 3 years of related engineering experience
- Active DOD SECRET Security Clearance to be considered with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
- Knowledge on network routing & switching systems (e.g. switches, routers)
- Must be willing and able to support 2nd shift ( approx 3pm to 1am)
PREFERRED Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent technical experience
- Networks + Certification
- Active DOD- Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance
- Knowledge on network defense systems (e.g. firewall, IDS, IPS)
- Knowledge on network simulations and load testing (e.g. CML, GNS3, T-bird, iPerf, Ixia)
- Working knowledge on computer operating systems (e.g. Windows, Solaris, Linux)
- Knowledge on programming/scripting languages (e.g. C, C++, Java, Python, Ansible)
- Knowledge on Virtualization (e.g. VMware)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent level of Cisco Certification
