Are you ready to put your years of experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer to join our growing team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
You will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Systems and Software Solutions (S&SS). S&SS provides sustainment support for the US Air Force B-1, KC-135, and numerous other Government platforms. Our team members complete engineering, reverse engineering, and logistics solution efforts to solve complex obsolescence problems and ensure warfighter supportability.
You will support the Lead Engineer in execution of various program activities, to include Test system design and evaluation, design and development of communication, flight controls, navigation, radar, avionics, power and/or electrical systems architecture, components, circuits, and products or aircraft maintenance. The position will research, develop, design, and test electrical components, perform equipment, systems, and design evaluations and provide general engineering support for defense or commercial systems.
Responsibilities:
Analyze complex electronic circuitry and precision electro-mechanical assemblies through simulation or analysis in order to recommend component substitutions or re-design solutions to ensure the integrity of the platform configuration, system safety, and performance specifications
Access, interpret, and recommend changes to engineering drawings
Establish design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test
Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules
Basic Requirements:
Must either have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience or a Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of engineering experience
Ability to work on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot/repair hardware components
Experience with test planning at the circuit card, equipment, and system level
Experience generating automated test software
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Analog/RF, EMI/EMC PI signal integrity experience
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (or higher)
Experience with SKILL or Python is a plus
Experience with aerospace systems
Experience with RF systems
Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot/repair hardware components
Experience with CAD or similar design tools
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
