Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join the Support Systems Team (SST). This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.
What You’ll Get To Do:
The selected candidate will bring solid electrical test engineering skills along with a multi-disciplined background, a hands-on work ethic, and a good understanding of engineering fundamentals. This opportunity involves a broad spectrum of tasking that will rely heavily on the candidate's existing skills and experience. Roles and responsibilities include:
Perform technical design trades studies, creating drawings, and developing test plans to meet the system requirements
Participate in technical exchange meetings, interfacing with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables
Hands-on testing and troubleshooting
Lead a collaborative Agile Jira tracking environment project for use internally and Government colleagues.
Manage engineering documents through Product Lifecycle Management (CPLM) for design reviews and other related events
Work as a liaison between Integrated Product Team (IPT) stakeholders and external stakeholders
Perform data analysis against requirements and interfaces for each software build or hardware component
Interface with software developers and systems engineers in support of verification
Support Product integration, regression, and verification testing including checkout in system test labs.
Manage requirements in DOORS
Leading both internal teams and subcontractors
Leading and/or participating in design reviews

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 5 years of experience; 3 years with Master’s Degree; 0 years with PhD
Knowledge of Test automation concepts and principles with Automated Test experience (development and execution)
Knowledge of MATLAB, LabVIEW or other software for data collection
Experience with system design, engineering drawings and technical writing
Experience with system or subsystem test and integration in engineering laboratory environment
Experience using Common Product Lifecycle Management (CPLM)
Experience with Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
Software and/or Hardware testing experience.
Must have US Citizenship with a current or active DoD Secret clearance reinvestigated within the last 6 years.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with power electronics and systems
Experienced with Mentor tools (Capital, Xpedition)
Experience as a Scrum Master
Experience applying Agile Engineering principles and methodologies
Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously
Capable of Taking initiative to reach out and collaborate across a large complex program
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Systems Engineering
