Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Counterfeit Prevention Engineer. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
The Systems Security Engineering (SSE) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Counterfeit Prevention Engineer for Program Protection and Supply Chain Risk Management. You will be responsible for developing, delivering, and implementing a Counterfeit Prevention Plan, work with Sentinel program teams, partners, and suppliers to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, verify and validate compliance, and apply information assurance and security engineering systems principles to meet customer requirements.
What You’ll Get To Do:
- Develop, deliver, and implement a Counterfeit Prevention Plan IAW SAE Standards.
- Utilize Information Assurance and Systems Security Engineering principles to assess, develop, and document risk mitigation strategies against system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle.
- Work with Sentinel program teams, partners, and suppliers to develop and implement Counterfeit Prevention Plans.
- Work closely with other SSE team members to validates system security requirements definition and analysis. Verifies security requirements; performs system certification and accreditation planning, testing, and liaison activities.
- Conduct SSE Verification and Validation activities including inspections, audits, and reporting.
- Serve as a subject matter expert regarding counterfeit products and counterfeit prevention.
- Execute completion of Statement of Work requirements, Program Milestone Exit Criteria, contractual deliveries, and program maturity commitments.
- Support MDT with other duties as assigned.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 6 years of experience with Master's degree or 3 years of experience with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience maybe considered ‘in lieu’ of a degree.
- Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
- Minimum 3 years in a full-time role dedicated to anti-counterfeiting enforcement and prevention.
- Minimum 3 years of applying and understanding Systems Security Engineering principles applicable to US Department of Defense, Industrial or Commercial Sectors.
- Minimum 3 years demonstrating the ability to document, communicate, and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a full-time role dedicated to anti-counterfeiting enforcement and prevention.
- Minimum 2 years in researching, interpreting, and developing mitigations for threats and vulnerabilities.
- Demonstrated experience with translating counterfeit prevention requirements into an actionable plan.
- Demonstrated experience delivering status updates and metrics against program timelines.
- Direct experience conducting supply chain risk management or program protection.
- Demonstrated experience with vulnerability management.
- Knowledge of acquisition threat analysis and protection initiatives for acquisition programs.
- Experience with Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools.
- Military Intelligence, Law Enforcement, or other USG Intelligence agency experience preferred.
