The Emerging Capabilities Development group of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Advanced Technology Lab (ATL). ATL is located just outside of Baltimore, MD - where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production as well as emerging programs. Northrop Grumman’s ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, Silicon Carbide) and providing leading edge technology development in superconducting electronics. Our devices enable a number of Northrop Grumman’s ground-based radars, avionic radars, and space systems.

Our multidisciplinary foundry team enables activities from development to sustainment process engineering. ATL is responsible for all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, wafer fabrication, test, and assembly.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Material Science, Chemistry, or closely related technical major
Semiconductor background
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to communicate effectively to team members both verbally and in writing
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (US citizenship required)
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree or PhD
Aptitude for hands-on laboratory and experimental work.
Understanding of basic semiconductor processing
Experience in digital or analog design
Experience operating or troubleshooting electronic test systems
Experience with superconducting electronics test platforms and cryogenic test environments
Experience with design or test of microwave electronics
