Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Supplier Site Validation & Verification Engineer in support of the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. This position is in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. This position may also require occasional travel to Northrop Grumman and Government locations within the United States.
What You’ll Get To Do
The Mission Defense Team (MDT) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified system engineer to serve as a Supplier Site Validation & Verification Engineer. You will be responsible for performing penetration testing and vulnerability assessments for supply chain elements, processes, and actors and provide results.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assessment and analysis of threats, vulnerabilities, and risk for identified mission-critical functions and critical components.
- Research and identify vulnerabilities on Suppliers’ systems and networks coupled with conducting penetration tests on networks and applications.
- Perform vulnerability analysis of applications and operating systems and evaluate system security configurations.
- Participate in a variety of working groups and customer meetings; ensure communication of risk environment with stakeholders.
- Execute completion Statement of Work requirements, Program Milestone Exit Criteria, and program maturity commitments.
- Self-starters compelled to act in the workplace without requiring prompting from supervisors.
- Support MDT with other duties as assigned.
- Travel: 10%

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Job Qualifications
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree, 0 years with PhD
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance with investigation within the last 5 years or in Continuous Evaluation (CE) and ability to obtain & maintain Top Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) access.
- Minimum 2 years of applying and understanding Systems Security Engineering principles applicable to US Government Defense Programs.
- Minimum 2 years in researching, interpreting, and developing mitigations for threats and vulnerabilities.
- Minimum 2 years in showing the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
- Ability to show self as team player, able to multi-task, able to generate quality work products independently, able to make excellent judgement and show interpersonal skills.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Direct experience conducting in supply chain risk management or supply chain security.
- Demonstrated experience with vulnerability management.
- Experience with Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools.
- Experience with one or more of Reverse Engineering or debugging tools.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and develop exploits for systems, e.g., Bug Bounty awards, CVEs, or winning organized Capture-the-Flag competitions.
- Knowledge of acquisition threat analysis and protection initiatives for acquisition programs.
- One or more of the following certifications: Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE), Offensive Security Certified Exploitation Expert (OSEE).
