Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Subcontract Technical Engineer in support of the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. This position is in Roy, UT. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. This position may also require occasional travel to Northrop Grumman and Government locations within the United States.
What You’ll Get To Do
The Mission Defense Team (MDT) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Subcontract Technical Engineer to support systems engineering activities including use case development, requirements definition / allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability to the test plans.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and maintain descriptive system models in UAFP, SysML, and UML using MBSE tools to define interfaces, physical / functional block diagrams, and behaviors.
- Coordinate with integrated product teams for establishing content within the architecture.
- Interface with customers, program management and technical staff.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Job Qualifications
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree, 0 years of experience with PhD
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance with investigation within the last 5 years or in Continuous Evaluation (CE) and ability to obtain & maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.
- Broad technical and MBSE experience, across multiple platforms, and encompassing the entire product development lifecycle.
- Experience with DOORS.
- Experience developing models with Cameo or equivalent tools.
- Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Previous Systems Engineering experience and understanding of the Systems Engineering V.
- Experience creating RVAMs.
- Experience leading scrum teams .
- Experience as a Scrum Master or Product Owner.
- Experience with Agile Development and implementing Agile metrics.
- Experience with Unified Profile for DoDAF and MoDAF (UPDM), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), and/or the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
- Experience using Requirements repository tools (i.e., DOORS).
