Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Payloads Advanced Equipment Systems Engineering Manager 2. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You’ll Get To Do:
- Lead a team of Systems Engineers responsible for requirements, architecture, and verification of components in the Payload Reentry System Advanced Equipment Flight Test Assets and commutate knowledge with cross segments teams including suppliers, global supply chain, and mission assurance.
- Support department initiatives; technology road-map creation, cross-campus/sector involvement, and NCTA project leadership.
- Support employee development; employee inclusion, engagement, mentoring and career development; employee training and identification and training of skills required to execute programs.
- Support staffing and workload forecast; Recruiting, sourcing, onboarding, performance management and contract maintenance for the contractors working in the business area.
- Perform requirements analysis, develop source data for requirements, generate requirements verification, and help prepare test plans and procedures.
- Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical and integrated systems.
- Perform Verification Planning in MBSE tools. Create and maintain a Requirements Verification Architecture Model (RVAM) in Cameo EA.
- Apply the principles of engineering to design components and systems using applicable standards and specifications.
- Support all phases of the systems life cycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements.
- Develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for the systems engineering function.
- Interface with AF customer.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and 6 years related experience
- At least 1-year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance with an investigation date within the last 6
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:
- Masters degree in STEM and 6 years experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent efforts
- Experience being a tasking lead and managing daily scope of teammates
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
- Experience through full life cycle of a development program
- Missile experience
