We are looking for you to join our team as a Signal / Image Processing Engineer – Radar based out of Woodland Hills, CA. Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Woodland Hills, CA is currently seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Signal/Image Processing Engineer with a current/active Top Secret clearance to support radar exploitation and signal processing activities in the Artificial Intelligence and Analytics department.

In this role, the selected candidate will join a group developing algorithms for a novel radar capability. In this position you will perform analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, algorithm development, prototyping, implementation, and test. The position requires familiarity with radar remote sensing and classical signal processing techniques.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Determining reuse possibilities, or conceptualizing novel algorithms
• Designing and rapidly prototyping implementation
• Designing a robust test suite
• Creating presentation material to explain and document work, and presenting to internal and external stakeholders

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Signal/Image Processing Engineer are:

• 5 years of experience in scientific systems engineering or signal processing with a Bachelors of Science in a STEM discipline; 3 years experience with Masters; 0 Years with a PhD

• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
• Academic background and/or on-the-job experience in radar processing
• Skilled with Matlab and/or Python
• Demonstrated oral and written presentation skills

Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Signal/Image Processing Engineer are:

• 9 years of experience in scientific systems engineering or signal processing with a Bachelors of Science in a STEM discipline; 7 years experience with Masters; 4 Years with a PhD

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance
• Academic background and/or on-the-job experience in radar processing
• Skilled with Matlab and/or Python
• Demonstrated oral and written presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with C / C++
• Academic background and/or on-the-job use of advanced mathematics or statistics
• Experience with development and application of signal/image processing algorithms
