We are looking for Staff Structural Analysis Engineer who have experience using Finite Element Analysis to analyze statics, dynamics, loads, stability and stress fatigue.
Your day-to-day activities will be to analyze, research and develop structural engineering analysis packages involving metals for aerospace product design and development. You will work closely with structural designers to iterate the designs for the most optimal solution and you will analyze damage tolerance, durability, and design allowables using structural modeling and analysis techniques.
Responsibilities include:
Perform structural analysis including static, fatigue, loads and dynamics, and stability.
Create Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models and perform systems and sub-systems structural analysis.
Compute margins using appropriate analysis methods.
Review of requirements for materials, structure systems & subsystems.
Participate and present in internal and external (customer) design reviews.
Staff Engineers are expected to work towards long term organizational goals, by improving processes, conducting research, and identifying efficiency and competitive advantage opportunities.
Basic Qualifications Staff Structural Design Engineer:
Bachelors in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a STEM discipline AND 14 years of engineering experience, OR Master’s degree in a STEM discipline AND 12 years of engineering experience, OR PhD in STEM discipline AND 9 years or engineering experience.
Experience using Finite Element Analysis tools to perform structural and dynamic analysis
This position is contingent upon the ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance, and Contract Award.
Preferred Qualifications
Active Secret clearance
Experience with metallic and composite structures
Participation in multiple design cycles in spacecraft/aircraft development programs
