Principal OR Sr Principal Industrial Engineer (Emerado ND)

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Industrial Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation Organization. This role is located in Emerado, ND.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops and implements plans that ensure the timely availability and effective utilization of labor, facilities, equipment, & tooling resources enabling the achievement of program delivery and cost milestones, specifically for modifications.

• Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for modifications and revisions to operating methods

• Provides capacity planning, shop-loading and staffing analysis for functional modification teams

• Analyzes existing operational processes and develops metrics and reporting to optimize and improve program & operational performance, specifically for modifications

• Provides daily feedback on schedule position to manufacturing leadership for modifications.

Basic Qualifications Principal Industrial Engineer (Level 3):

• Bachelor’s Degree in (STEM) with 5 years performing Industrial Engineering roles and/or functions; OR Master’s Degree with 3 years of performing Industrial Engineering roles and/or functions
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the program.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment and hands on experience using shop floor production system (Solumina, MES, etc.)
• Experience using ERP systems (SAP)
• Proficient in MS Project, Excel & PowerPoint
• Proficient with AutoCAD or Visio software
• Capacity and scheduling simulation experience (Simio, or other simulation software)

Basic Qualifications Sr Principal Industrial Engineer (Level 4):

• Bachelor’s Degree in (STEM) with 9 years performing Industrial Engineering roles and/or functions; OR Master’s Degree with 7 years of performing Industrial Engineering roles and/or functions
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the program.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment and hands on experience using shop floor production system (Solumina, MES, etc.)
• Experience using ERP systems (SAP)
• Proficient in MS Project, Excel & PowerPoint
• Proficient with AutoCAD or Visio software
• Capacity and scheduling simulation experience (Simio, or other simulation software)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Factory design experience and/or experience designing and implementing manufacturing flows
• Documented experience working in a robust IPT environment
• Experience with data visualization and dashboard creation/ maintenance (Tableau, Power BI)
• Project management experience
• Report programming experience (SQL, Crystal, MS Query, Bus. Objects, etc.)
• Experience performing Earned Value Management
