We are currently seeking a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer who will research, plan, design, develop, and document structural and/or electromechanical components and assemblies for the SiAW program. This includes, but is not limited to, electronic components and assemblies, airframes, separation mechanisms, and more!
Basic Qualifications:
o Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering AND a minimum of five (5) years Mechanical and/or Electrical Design experience using CAD software OR a Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering AND a minimum of three (3) years Mechanical and/or Electrical Design experience using CAD software.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Experience with Model Based Definition (MBD) and Product Manufacturing Information (PMI)
o Experience with detailed tolerance analyses
o A US Gov't Secret clearance
o Experience with proposal writing
o Self-Starter familiar with dynamic work environments.
o Certification as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT).
o Familiarity with PTC Creo (7.0 is preferred) and Windchill.
o Familiarity with ASME Y14.5.
o Familiarity with Trade Studies.
o Experience with aero-structure design.
o Experience with additive manufacturing (3D Printing, Rapid Prototyping, etc...).
o Experience with CCA design.
o Experience with Machining (Mill, Lathe, Router, etc...)
