Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Engineer Mission Assurance. This position will be located in Roy, UT.
This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What you’ll get to do:
The selected candidate will work within the Design Assurance team as a Hardware Quality subject matter expert and stakeholder. You will be responsible for checking design packages for proper content and to ensure compliance with applicable company, military, and industry modeling standards. Other typical duties include:
Checking designs for dimensioning, GD&T, use of materials, fit, function, manufacturability, and economy of fabrication
Maintaining a Quality Management System ensuring that products and services conform to company standards of excellence (e.g., AS9100, Statement of Work)
Reviewing practices, procedures, and processes aiming to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness to reduce risk to product quality
Participating in board meetings as a Mission Assurance representative

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You’ll bring these qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a STEM related discipline with 2 + years of related experience, OR a Masters degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math with 0 + years of work related experience, OR 6 + years of directly related experience with a technical degree
Experience with design modeling and/or checking programs
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5-2009 or later
Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access
These qualifications would be nice to have:
Experience with creation and release of engineering hardware drawings, interface diagrams, and/or wiring diagrams
Knowledge of standard manufacturing processes including CNC Mill and Lathe operations
Experience with Siemens CPLM and NX
Experience with Digital Product Definition Practices per ASME Y14.41
Experience with ICBMs or Aerospace programs
Experience with establishing and maintaining a Quality Management System
Experience working in an AS9100 or ISO9001 certified workplace
Familiarity or experience with Agile software development methodologies (i.e., Scrum)
