The Consolidated Operations and Anomaly Support Team (COAST) is a restricted Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program with several Integrated Project Teams (IPTs). The Software Engineering IPT focuses on the sustainment of several mission operational product lines, as well as the development of new capabilities as coordinated with the Customer.
The Software Engineering IPT is a large team comprising multiple subsystems, each with their specialized software focus. We are looking for an energetic and passionate software engineer to join our team as we work to provide innovative solutions to complex issues in support of our customer’s national security mission.
The position offers domestic and international travel opportunities.
Basic Qualifications for the Principal Software Engineer:
- Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access prior to start date
- A master’s degree in computer science (or a related field) and 3 years of experience or a bachelor’s degree in computer science (or a related field) and 5 years of experience; an additional 4 years of experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree
- Formal software development experience with higher level programming, shell, or scripting languages
- Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system
Preferred Qualifications for the Principal Software Engineer:
- Experience with some of the following: C/C#/C++, Python and/or Perl, JavaScript, HTML, and SQL
- Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management
- Familiarity with Object-Oriented design and development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees, management, and stakeholders
- Previous participation on an Agile scrum team or familiarity with the Agile process
- Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
- Desire to find and resolve problems in existing software
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
