We are seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to join our talented Storm-1 team in Redondo Beach, CA.
What you'll get to do:
- Provide automation configuration with tools like Ansible and HashiCorp Packer to automate build and configuration processes
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) process and tools, deployment strategies
- Containers and containerization technologies
- Agile management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub, and desire to study/learn new technologies and tools
- Develop and support scripts in Python and Bash
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 14 years of relevant experience; Master's degree in STEM with 12 years of relevant experience; PhD in STEM with 9 years of relevant experience
- Active TS clearance, and the ability to obtain SAP
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CI/CD best practices, automated builds and tests, quality gates, software quality, and CI tools, i.e., Jenkins
- Experience with configuration management tools, i.e., Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, others
- Familiarity with branching strategies, gated commits, source-controlled management, etc.
- Familiarity with the principle of DevSecOps
- Atlassian JIRA or other defect tracking tool experience
- Atlassian Confluence, GitHub, Jenkins, and Nexus repository experience
- Familiarity with security coding standard best practices, static and dynamic scanning tools, i.e., SonarQube, Fortify, Coverity, PCLint, etc.
- Programming and scripting experience in a UNIX environment (C++, Perl, Python, Bash, Ruby, Shell, Scripts)
