Northrop Grumman is seeking Software Engineers. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Rolling Meadows, IL. This position will be in the Pathways rotational program where there will be three rotation opportunities within engineering.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Navigation, Targeting, & Survivability (NT&S) Division.
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either a level 1 or a level 2. Basic qualifications for a Pathways Software Engineer 1 are a Bachelor’s Degree. Basic qualifications for a Pathways Software Engineer 2 are a Master’s Degree.
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution
Be majoring in or having majored in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
A final DoD Secret clearance is required to start.
The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
A current/active DoD Secret clearance
Familiarity, educational background or experience in:
- Structured Programming (C), Object Oriented Programming (C++, Java), and/or
- Software architecture (design patterns, objected oriented design), and/or
- Operating system concepts for embedded systems, and/or
- Software development methodologies or frameworks (Waterfall Methodology or Agile), and/or
- Version control (Git, GitLab', GitHub, or Bitbucket, etc.), and/or
- Agile software planning tools (Jira or Rally, etc.)
Salary Range:
Pathways Software Engineer 1: $68,800-$103,200
Pathways Software Engineer 2: $83,300-$124,900
