Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Principal/Sr. Principal DevOps Engineer in the Payload and Ground Systems Division. This position can be based out of Fairfax, VA or Aurora, CO.

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for integrating development pipelines, leveraging automation with test-driven development tools and continuous integration/test frameworks. The candidate will ensure implementation of Software Configuration Management (SCM), code qualify, and code coverage with automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

The requisition may be filled at either the Principal or Senior Principal grade based on the qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications:

• Principal: Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR master’s degree with 3+ years.

• Sr. Principal: Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline with 9+ years of relevant experience, OR master’s degree with 7+ years.

• US Citizenship with ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance

• 3+ years of DevOps or software development experience

• Experience with developing and deploying CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, GitLab, or similar

• Experience in a technical leadership role managing technical objectives

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI, granted or re-investigated within the last 6 years or in continuous evaluation

• Experience with Agile Development

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite: JIRA, Confluence, etc

• Experience with Linux Operating Systems

• Experience administering virtualized systems in VMWare

• Experience managing containers using container orchestrators like Docker, Kubernetes (K8s)

• Experience with deployment automation scripting using Ansible, Helm or related products
