Since 2001, Northrop Grumman has delivered Through-Life Support to the Royal Australian Air Force’s 34 Squadron located at RAAF Fairbairn in Canberra. The high-performing Northrop Grumman SPA (Special Purpose Aircraft) team is comprised of approximately 50 staff who provide all levels of maintenance, training and logistics support to the fleet of two Boeing BBJ’s and three Dassault Falcon 7X’s.
Your Role:
Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Services Engineer to join the Special Purpose Aircraft (SPA) program at Northrop Grumman Australia. In this role, you will directly support the SPA Program and play a vital part in delivering exceptional engineering and technical services to ensure maximum aircraft availability.
As the Technical Services Engineer, your primary focus will be on achieving customer objectives related to aircraft airworthiness, safety, availability, reliability, and maintainability.
Your responsibilities will include developing and executing strategic plans to meet customer expectations. You will provide valuable technical guidance to the CAMS Group, effectively manage customer requirements, and collaborate with various teams such as supply operations, maintenance operations, flight operations, and training.
In this role, you will be instrumental in facilitating the embodiment of mandatory and non-mandatory Technical Information (TI) including Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins/Service Letters, and Repairs. You will actively contribute to Configuration Management activities and Continuing Airworthiness Data Management aspects of the CAMS Group.
As a Technical Services Engineer, you will support Annual Airworthiness Reviews and facilitate internal and external CAMS Group audits, implementing any findings to drive continuous improvement. Staying up-to-date with DASR Part M Regulations and relevant policies and procedures will be essential.
We are looking for a degree-qualified Engineer or someone with a relevant technical qualification. Previous experience working as an airworthiness or technical services engineer in the Defence/Aviation industry is necessary, along with a solid understanding of DASA/CASA Regulations or similar frameworks.
Proficiency in project management, planning, and scheduling tools is desired.
If you have direct technical experience in an aviation Through-Life-Support program or post-graduate qualifications in engineering/technical fields, it would be a valuable asset. Project Management certification(s) are also advantageous.
