Northrop Grumman, Strategic Space Systems Division, is seeking a Manager Systems Engineering 3 to lead, motivate, and support the Mission Support and Engineering Department, working as part of a motivated, diverse, and technically talented group located at a field site in Alice Springs, AU.

Role Summary:
The Rushmore program is looking for an enthusiastic, detail oriented, and technically minded individual to lead a highly specialized remote group of engineers in support of an exciting and critical mission.
The Mission Support and Engineering (MSE) Manager is responsible for the A Site Mission Support and Engineering Department, which oversees the Rushmore technical baseline at A Site including the installation, integration and performance of critical operational software and hardware. You will leverage your technical and leadership expertise to ensure maximum availability, maintainability and overall performance of operational systems. The principal duties of the position are:
Provide functional management of the MSE department within the Rushmore program by setting and operating to objectives and providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives and company policy. Conduct personnel performance reviews
Serve as an interface to Site and CONUS engineering organizations supporting the plan, design and execution of installation and integration activities addressing operational equipment obsolescence and delivery of new systems and capabilities
Responsible for all projects assigned to the MSE department. Help meet established schedules or resolve technical or operational problems. Provide leadership and review of proposal efforts (e.g., BPEs, CROMs, ECPs)
Interpret, execute, and recommend modifications to organizational policies
Exert influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization
Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance standards
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline plus 9 years of engineering experience OR Masters of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline plus 7 years of engineering experience
Proven leadership experience on a project and/or team
Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
Must have all of the following: Active DoD Top Secret Clearance / SCI access plus a positively adjudicated counterintelligence (CI) polygraph examination
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance / SCI Access with a counterintelligence (CI) polygraph examination adjudicated positively within the last three years
Previous experience working on location and/or in the field to support the Department of Defense and/or the Intelligence Community
Ability to effectively communicate and present to directors, other technical managers and customers
Advanced level of understanding and/or direct work-related experience with Systems Engineering foundations and concepts
Previous AMP/ATP/Mission 1/Mission Management experience
Prior functional management experience of multi-disciplinary teams
