Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Test Engineering Manager 2 - Flight Test Organization (FTO) Fusion Team Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This leadership role is located in Edwards AFB, CA.
This selected candidate is expected to lead and provide functional homeroom support as a section manager for a team of 10-15 engineers as well as provide programmatic leadership to this team throughout the flight test campaign. The successful candidate will represent and lead the Engineering Fusion Team supporting the business area and ensuring proactive vertical and horizontal integration across the flight test team. The leader must have experience with test planning and flight test execution including flight test metrics. Clear and concise communication skills are a must along with strong leadership skills.
This position is 100% on-site at Edwards AFB, CA. Due to the dynamic environment of flight test, occasional overtime and off-shift work (nights/weekends) may be required.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of relevant professional/military experience in Engineering OR 7 years relevant professional/military experience in Engineering; 5 years with a PhD
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Must have prior leadership/management experience.
Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a flight test or lab environment
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)
Demonstrated experience meeting customer needs, building strong relationships with strategic partners and guiding program teams and support functions to take action to satisfy customer expectations
