The Space Systems Engineering and Integration Organization in SSSD has an opening for a NGP MSE Requirements and Verification Lead. This position will be located in the Space Park Center of Excellence in Redondo Beach, California.
The candidate needs to have demonstrated R&V experience, and the role is responsible for the following:
-Leading a team of roughly 9 individuals
-9 CDRL products, including the NGP SEMP
-5 SOW non-CDRL products
-Program DOORS architecture/support
-ECR implementation in program specifications
-R&V support for Mission Systems Threads
-FHM SE and program R&V metrics
-Requirement TBX resolution plans
-Facilitation of program level Requirements Working Group (RWG) with customer participation and review of all ECRs that are adjudicated at that WG
-Cross-IPT coordination setting the Program Engineering Change Board (PERB) agenda
-Coordination support to program milestones
-CAM responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 14+ years of engineering experience OR Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12+ years of engineering experience OR PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 9+ years of engineering experience
-Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances:
-Dept. of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years OR
-Dept. of Energy Q clearance with a background investigation date within 6 years
Preferred Qualifications:
-Active SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years
-Master’s Degree in Engineering
-Experience working on aircraft or spacecraft systems
-Experience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirements
-Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, or model based system engineering
-Experience in subsystem, payload, or system integration
-Experience using DOORS, Cameo
-Strong people skills
-Excellent communication skills (upward and downward)
