We have an opening for either a Principal Systems Engineer or a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our talented, diverse team in Redondo Beach, CA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
Basic Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years of engineering experience, or a Master’s degree in STEM with 3 years of engineering experience
- Active SCI, or Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI
Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Software Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM with 9 years of engineering experience, or a Master’s degree in STEM with 7 years of engineering experience
- Active SCI, or Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile development as a product owner
- Experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and concepts
