We have an opening for either a Principal Engineer or a Principal Systems Engineer to join our qualified, diverse team. We are seeking a team member who wants to solve interesting, complex problems to help protect our nation. We are a trusted mission payload and ground system provider with extensive experience providing end-to-end mission solutions from concept through operations and support. The team you will support is located at our Space Park campus in Redondo Beach, CA.
What you’ll get to do?
Provide technical leadership for NGP Test Planning, and will support development of the COAST Program System Integration & Test Plan. Responsibility may include develop/collect DT&E and OT&E test plans and incorporate them into the System Integration & Test Plan, and Operational Test, and will support development of the Test Plan. The System Test Plan Lead will coordinate test objectives across systems engineering threads and program IPTs to support development of test plans that support the SI&TP.
Candidate is required to have experience with System Test activities such as: External Interface, System End-to-End, or Early Operations Testing and with Northrop Grumman System Test and Evaluation best practices, and familiarity with space and/or ground segments. They also require good interpersonal skills to enable collaboration with the different IPTs.
Basic Qualifications for Systems Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in STEM
• Active SCI access and/or DoD Top Secret clearance
Experience in test procedure development, test planning, and/or integration and test
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, often for extended periods (up to three months’ duration)• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in STEM with 3 years of related experience
- Active SCI access and/or DoD Top Secret clearance
Experience in test procedure development, test planning, and/or integration and test
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, often for extended periods (up to three months’ duration)• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or other STEM-related field
• Experience in troubleshooting of complex systems
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python
• Experience in working as part of a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
