Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Principal Infrastructure Systems Engineer/Sr Principal Infrastructure Systems Engineer based out of Aurora, CO.
What You’ll get to Do:
Work with stakeholders to design, build and maintain mission critical systems
Assemble system rack elevations, creating BOMs, identifying equipment to purchase
Derive system level requirements into IT requirements
Coordinate the development and execution of tests to verify IT systems and services meet their requirements before handing off to the system integration team
Contribute to process improvement and tool automation initiatives
Perform IT related trade studies in support of the IT Architect
Perform SWAP (Space, Weight, and Power) analysis
Perform lifecycle and sparing analysis
This position may be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed below.
This position may be filled as either a Principal or Sr. Principal Systems Engineer.
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Systems Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD
Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance or TS with SCI eligibility at time of application
Familiarity with servers and processing requirements, familiarity with information technology
Systems engineering experience
Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 9 years of relevant experience; 7 years with a Master's; 4 years with a PhD
Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance or TS with SCI eligibility at time of application
Familiarity with servers and processing requirements, familiarity with information technology
Systems engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with developing requirements for infrastructure to support software processing
