Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Sr Principal Systems Engineer – Deputy IPT Lead based out of Aurora, CO.
What You’ll get to Do:
This position will serve as Deputy Common IPT Lead and will be supporting, staffing, cost account management, planning across multiple programs and missions within the programs, reporting IPT status, coordination cross IPTs for travel and resource agreements. Additional responsibilities may include performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Maintaining existing operations procedures up-to-date to also include lessons learned from real-time performance. Developing new procedures as required. Interfacing with program and customer personnel.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; Masters with 6 years of relevant experience; or 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
- Position requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
- Must be willing to submit to a polygraph
- Experienced in leading large, geographically dispersed teams
- Experienced in building teams
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience with effectively managing, communicating, and presenting staffing, cost account management, planning, travel and resource reporting to leadership and customers
- General Understanding of Software Engineering Plans and Processes
- General Understanding of Systems Engineering Integration & Test Plans and Processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a Control Account Manager
- General Understanding of Agile Earned Value Management planning, tools and execution
- Experience managing dependencies across Integrated Product Teams
