Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Staff Engineer Systems – MA Lead Systems Analyst (23-508) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located out of Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

The lead Analyst on the Mission Applications/Regional Applications (MA/RA) Agile Release Train (ART) of C2BMC. The MA/RA ART develops the operational software for C2BMC. Lead a small team of Analysts to verify the requirements applicable to the ART and proactively analyze test outputs to identify and report any anomalies.

Work with the ART product teams to correct identified problems. This team will develop plans and procedures to analyze and validate the software, working alongside the software and systems engineers from various product teams. This team will also develop analysis scripts and automated tests that could become part of the development CI/CD pipeline. Work with program-level integration, Modeling and simulations, and Test Engineering teams to identify scenarios that can validate functionality and system performance requirements. Lead the team in building and consolidating analysis tools across the ART teams. Work with the various product teams to identify automated tests they have developed that can help with an automated end-to-end system analysis.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with software verification & validation processes and techniques, test reporting, regression testing, and operational & test data analysis.
  • Familiar with Systems Engineering and Software Development lifecycles; experience getting products through customer acceptance tests.
  • Experience performing and assisting test engineers with test verification procedure development, technical troubleshooting, and analysis of software tests for performance and functionality verification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using MATLAB, Python, and Java to analyze data. Ability to develop scripts and programs to assist with Java, MATLAB, Python analysis, etc.
  • Experience presenting analysis results information to software engineers, product owners, other senior program leaders, and customer representatives.
  • Experience developing and understanding complex algorithms; performing analysis on complex algorithms for performance and functionality; presenting analysis results to stakeholders.
  • Previous experience driving projects to closure through communication, coordination, and execution

Basic Qualifications:

  • An active Secret clearance is required to start.
  • 14 years with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 12 years experience with a Masters degree.
  • Ability to read and understand Java, C, C++, and Fortran.
  • Experience with DOORS, JIRA, Confluence, or other project management tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present technical approaches and findings to all audiences, including technical subject matter experts and senior leaders
  • Knowledge of basic message formats such as TADIL-J, ATOMS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Agile Environments is desired.
  • Experience in an agile leadership position is desired.
  • Prior C2BMC experience
  • Experience with missile defense battle management and command & control systems desired
  • Some travel will be needed between C2BMC development sites (Colorado Springs, CO and Huntsville, AL) and the C2BMC Test Bed (CTB) at Schriever Space Force Base, CO.

Additional Northrop Grumman Information:

Salary Range: $146,300 - $219,500
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
