Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal / Senior Principal Engineer Systems Test to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.
**This role may be filled at the Principal or Senior Principal level**
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting planning and coordinating all lab and flight test requirements on the E-2D program. Candidates shall display professionalism, motivation, strong leadership skills, and ability to work independently as well as be able to function as a key technical subject matter expert of the test team and will interface directly with the Integrated Test Team and customer to coordinate test requirements, test planning, and reporting of test results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining flight-test support materials and mission flight-test profiles.
- Make real-time decisions in a high-risk fast-paced test environment
- Collaborate in a team environment and prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them.
- Thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels
- Work with offsite flight test group and on site lab test group
- Help evaluated threat scenarios and develop testing to validate requirements and assess capabilities.

Basic Qualifications (Principal):
- Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a Science Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in test and/or integration engineering, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 3 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in test and/or integration engineering, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 0 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in test and/or integration engineering
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret clearance prior to the commencement of employment
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- Must have Mission Systems experience
Basic Qualifications (Senior Principal):
- Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a Science Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline AND 9 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in test and/or integration engineering, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 7 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in test and/or integration engineering, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in test and/or integration engineering
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret clearance prior to the commencement of employment
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- Must have Mission Systems experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in telemetry room as a test conductor and/or data monitor for flight and ground testing.
- Recent Flight Test Engineer experience.
- Full understanding of all aspects of testing to include requirements definition, test planning, test conduct and test reporting.
- Experiences in an Gov/contractor Integrated Test Teat (ITT, ITF, CTF, etc)
