Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Principal/Sr Principal Test Engineer at its Subsystem and Software Sustainment (S&SS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. where you will join our growing team of qualified, diverse individuals at Robins Air Force Base. The selected candidate will be able to invest years of experience into a future of excellence as a Test Engineer, providing engineering support for Military Avionics programs. Our ideal candidate will possess technical expertise and collaborative people skills with the proven ability to work within a technically diverse and fast-paced team. This position is located in Warner Robins, GA. Some travel may be required.
Your responsibilities will include:
Analyze electronic capabilities to resolve problems and output requirements using engineering best practices and standards.
Prepares technical data packages. Therefore, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role
Simulates and tests hardware/software test programs.
Perform data analysis.
Research and collaborate with team members.
**This position may be filled at either Principal or Senior Principal Test Engineer level.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Test Engineer:
Must have high school diploma/GED and 9 years direct relevant experience.
Will accept Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM related discipline
Will accept Minimum of 5 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 3 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; No direct relevant experience necessary with PhD.
Must currently hold and be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance.
Background in general avionics, specifically F-15 avionics.
Background in DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources of Supply) issue resolution and component evaluations to a specific set of requirements as a means to resolve obsolesce.
Avionics test experience.
Must currently hold and be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance

Strong background in general avionics, specifically F-15 avionics.
