Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Space Assembly Integration Lead to support the mechanical assembly and inspection of Electronically Scanned Array (ESA) antennas for a production Space Payload program.
Responsibilities include:
Setting daily direction for 6 Engineering Technicians
Reporting daily status
Executing on program-directed priority and schedule needs
Coordinating with Quality Engineering/Mission Assurance (QE/MA), Inspection, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Program Manager (OPM), and Production Planner
This position is on-site in a classified, high bay cleanroom at our Maryland Space Assembly and Test (MSAT) facility adjacent to the BWI Airport in Linthicum/Baltimore, Maryland.
This position can be staffed at a Principal or Sr. Principal level based on the Basic Qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Engineer: BS in STEM with 5 years relevant experience or 3 years with MS
Sr. Principal Engineer: BS in STEM with 8 years relevant experience or 6 years with MS
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
Mechanical assembly of flight hardware experience
People leadership, scheduling, and tasking experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Electronically Scanned Array (ESA) antenna assembly experience
Space Sensor/Payload assembly experience
Cleanroom procedures experience
BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
